A Hint of Disney Wedding #3 - Princess Belle

Here I am with another little post about how to get hints of your favourite Disney film into your big day without having a big and super obvious Disney wedding.

My reason for this is I think that loads of us girls are Disney princesses on the inside, but maybe the groom wouldn't appreciate a full on Disney theme. I mean it's his day too...kinda ;-)

This post is for those whose favourite Disney film is Beauty and the Beast. A classic made more recently popular with the new film starring Emma Watson as Princess Belle.

Here's how to get subtle hints into your big day...

The Dress

Belle's dress has a cute shoulder strap detail. This is something you could incorporate into your own dress choice in honour of your favourite princess...

Bridesmaid colours

When Beauty and the Beast is your favourite Disney princess film, then the yellow of Belle's gown makes a lovely bridesmaid dress colour choice.

The Cake

Again you could go full Beauty and the Beast here, choose a less obvious Princess Castle style cake, or just stick to the colours of Belle's dress - a cake decorated in a nice yellow shade...

Little Extras

Those shoes!! Wow ...a lovely way to have a good bit of Disney in your wedding day without having a full Disney day. They are so beautiful!

The wording on invitations and other wedding stationary can also be used to show your favourite fairy tale.

Finally, pretty centrepieces can be easily created as shown above. These are so pretty and could be made with fake flowers making it an option that isn't too expensive. You could also make these yourself at home to keep costs down.

You can find my Beauty and the Beast theme Pinterest board here.

On A Budget: High Street Bridesmaid Accessories

My High Street Bridesmaid dresses posts seem to have been well received, so today I thought it would be nice to share a quick post with some bridesmaid accessories that you can get for your girls from the high street.

As you know, I'm all about the fact that you can have a beautiful wedding day without breaking the bank. It's all about saving money on the little things along the way. Everything adds up. As you can see from these accessories, there are some gorgeous high street accessories out there that could be perfect for your bridesmaids, and each of these cost £30 or less.

The earrings cost £6.99 from New Look.

The super pretty hair clip is from Asos. It's £30 for a pack of two. Not ideal if you are only having one bridesmaid, but it does look gorgeous.

The bag is also from Asos. It's cute and small - perfect for bridesmaid essentials.

The Necklace is £14 from Accessorize but is currently reduced to £11.20 so be quick :)

Alphabet mini perfumes are £3 from Next. They would be a lovely personalised accessory for each of your bridesmaids so that they could top up their perfume throughout the day.

A Hint of Disney Wedding #2 - Princess Rapunzel

These posts are about getting your all time favourite Disney princess into your wedding day theme in a subtle and stylish way. If you want to make the most of being a real life princess for a day then adding a hint of your favourite fairy tale can be a perfect way to create a beautiful theme.

There are so many options and you can go as Disney Princess as you like!

If Tangled is your favourite Disney movie then there are plenty of ways that you can add hints of Rapunzel to your wedding day.

The Dress

Rapunzel wears long sleeves similar to Princess Aurora with details to the front.

Bridesmaid Colours

To add hints of Disney's Tangled to your wedding day, the most obvious colour for your bridesmaids dresses would be that lovely purple colour. Here are some ideas...

The Cake

For hints of a Disney Tangled theme, you could choose a cake decorated in the gorgeous purple colours. If you prefer to make your theme more obvious, there are some gorgeous Tangled themed cake ideas out there! My favourite is a cake that shows the lanterns floating up - a big part of the Tangled movie.

Little Extras

Plaited hairstyle would be gorgeous for you and / or your bridesmaids.

With lanterns being an important aspect of the movie, there are lots of ways that you can use lanterns to make centrepieces for your wedding tables. Fill them with fairy lights, flowers or candles to make them look super pretty.

Finally I love love love the song from the Tangled film 'I See the Light' by Mandy Moore. I had it played as the first song after our wedding ceremony in Greece. It's lovely for after your ceremony or for a first dance. Just make sure you find the version with no talking in the middle!

Wedding Theme #4 - Pastel Colours

I've been raiding Pinterest again searching for my latest Wedding Themes inspiration. Today it's all about pastel colours!

Sweet and pretty, mixed pastel colours make a perfect wedding theme for a spring or summertime wedding.

Bridesmaid dresses are a big part of the pastel colour scheme, and there are loads of decorating options. Cakes are also so pretty in these colours, and sweet treats such as a candy bar, cake pops or a macaroon tower will all add to the look.

For me, pastel colours look gorgeous when tied in with elements of hessian and white lace.

My pastel coloured pinterest board is here.

Here are some of my favourite ideas for a pastel coloured big day...

Here's my current favourite high street dresses that would be perfect for your bridesmaids!

They are all under £50 - very budget friendly. Any of these three dresses would look gorgeous with a small bouquet of cream flowers. Your girls will look fabulous and you can save money! Win win...

A Hint of Disney Wedding #1 - Princess Aurora

These posts are about getting your all time favourite Disney princess into your wedding day theme in a subtle and stylish way. If you want to make the most of being a real life princess for a day then adding a hint of your favourite fairytale can be a perfect way to create a beautiful theme.

There are so many options and you can go as Disney Princess as you like!

The first princess that I'm going to post about is Princess Aurora - AKA Sleeping Beauty.

If you think of yourself as a real life princess and Sleeping Beauty is your favourite Disney princess film, this could be a wedding theme for you! x

The Dress

Whether the dress was pink or blue, Princess Aurora was about sleeves. This could inspire your own wedding dress choice. There are plenty of gorgeous long sleeved dresses around at the moment...

Bridesmaids Colours

The two main colours of sleeping beauty are the gorgeous pink dress she wore, and the gorgeous blue dress she wore. You could choose one of these colours for your bridesmaid dresses or bridesmaid bouquets for an extra Disney Sleeping Beauty hint in your big day.

The Cake

The wedding cake is a great way to add to your theme. I found these two gorgeous Disney Sleeping Beauty inspired cakes on Pinterest. Find them here.

How beautiful is this cake topper?!

Little Extras

Shoe stickers are a lovely way to add a small hint of Disney to your day. I came across the second photo on Pinterest. It would be so amazing to decorate a book in this style to create a Sleeping Beauty themed guest book for your big day!

Please feel free to see my Sleeping Beauty Theme Pinterest board here.
